Gypsy's Hot Romance☼

Romance novels, all sub genre's from Erotica to Classics.  Give me a HEA or even HFN and it is all good.

I tend to read only new release books.  Sometimes I get a bit behind and the book is now a month or two old but hey, so many books, so little time.

If you are from GR, you may know me better as Sunny.  A happy Canadian.

Shadow of Night: A Novel

Shadow of Night - Deborah Harkness Most of this book takes place in the late fifteen hundreds. Diana is here to find the magic book and to learn more about her magic.

Mattieu has lived in this time before and had to deal with his live as it was then and with Diana. She has a miscarriage in the story but we discover there are more buns in the oven as the story closes.

This is a story of the life at court. Both Elizabeth the first and Rudolf of Prague and Germany. The most important turn of the story is her communication with the goddess Diana and learns of the deal already made in the previous book A Discovery of Witches.

Diana has found a small coven of witches that are able to train her. She is a Weaver witch who can create her own spells as well as a timewalker. Diana as a firedrake now as her familiar. Her father who is also a timewalker appears for a short period and Diana is able to resolve some issues from her childhood as well as learn a bit more about her magic.

The book is found if only for a little while and Diana is able to see it before pages are removed. She now knows what is missing.

Although the book is heavy with historical facts both fact and fiction it held my interest and was a quick read. I am looking forward to the last book in the trilogy.
