I see no reason to re-invent the wheel. This book has been very well reviewed from every possible angle. Which of the many camps am I in then? Frankly it is not a romance. This book does not have a HEA. The series may but the book does not.
It was an interesting read and am so glad that the supposed sub. does not fall for the "because I said so, or the I had a bad childhood or the I can't tell you why, lines of the dom when asked why this life style. Ana dares to stand up for herself and in her words demands "more."
The banter between the two was the best part for me. To see the machine that was Christian begin to question, analysis differently and to joke was fun for me. Ana is wise enough to try and to become informed before blindly accepting or rejecting most things in her life.
I will never read the book again so it fails my five star criteria but it was an interesting read. I was also reading a Regency roamance and a Western romance at the same time as this one. The Regency was much much hotter on the passion scale and the heat scale so 50 let me down there. I believe some women have a pleasant surprise waiting for them in the Erotica section of their bookstore now that they have tested the waters.
