While reading this book, I was once again walking in Jacqueline's shoes through the halls of college. The characters, locations, day to day schedules and activities were all so familiar. Lucas the hero, so real I think I was falling for him head over heels. Jacqueline was the perfect heroine for the hero and for the story that unfolded. Rape, not uncommon on some campasses, was the focus for the angst.
Lucas had a big secret in his past and in his present with Jacqueline. She being the modern girl she is, googled it. I loved the reality of the story, the chemistry of the couple, the strength and development of the characters and vortex of curiousity that pulled you completely into the storyline. Five star books are very rare for me. I have to know, that I will read it again. I know. This is a warm fuzzy for down days, a moral builder for weak days and an excellent read for bored days. The heat factor of the book is only warm but that was all that was needed. A recommended read.
